This year’s headliners are Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, George Ezra, Biffy Clyro – just to give you an idea of the calibre of talent bustling around the island over this weekend.
2. Roskilde Festival | Denmark | 30 June – 7 July 2019
It was created in 1971 by two students as a festival for hippies and has since grown into one of the largest music festivals in Europe. It lasts over a week and it happens on an island west of Copenhagen. The audiences grow every year and it has over 180 of bands performing! This year the festival will count with the presence of The Cure, Travis Scott, Cardi B and M0 for the event.
3. Meadows in the Mountains | Bulgaria| 6-9 June 2019
Held in the wilderness of the Rhodopes Mountains of Bulgaria, it’s a dance festival that’s split between live and DJ sets over two summer days. Apart from the festival you can also count with a pool party, and spa treatments, outdoor pools, a shuttle to and from the festival and accommodation! Imagine the Bulgarian mountain houses where you will receive a true Bulgarian welcome!
4. Tomorrowland | Belgium |19-21 July & 26-28 July 2019
Arguably the best and biggest festival in the world, Tomorrowland is an electronic dance music festival held in Boom, Belgium. It was first held in 2005 and it happens during 2 weekends and the tickets usually sell out in minutes! This year they will count with the presence of The Chainsmokers, Armin van Buuren, A$AP Rocky, Lost Frequencies, Martin Garrix, Robin Schulz,and many, many more!
5. Rock Am Ring | Germany | 7-9 June 2019
This German festival answers to the heavy rock music festival genre. Dress black shirts and meet at the Nürburgring Grand Prix Grounds, Germany. The festival has been around since 1985 and has made history for many reasons, including creating a science experiment in 2007 where it tested the effects of mass bodies of people jumping simultaneously. The festival this year counts with Slipknot, Die Antwood, Alice in Chains and Foals.
6. Secret Solstice | Iceland | 21-24 June 2019
One of the most unique experiences on Earth, Secret Solstice is a festival during the summer solstice in Iceland’s capital Reykjavik. Prepare yourself for midnight pool parties in bright sunshine, exclusive raves in a glacier, dances in a 5,000-year-old lava tunnel and DJ sets in naturally heated lagoons. The 2019 lineup includes Black Eyed Peas, Rita Ora, Morcheeba, Kerri Chandler, Jeremy Underground and Patti Smith.
7. Vodafone Paredes de Coura | Portugal | 14-17 August 2019
This festival has been on for 26 years and it’s the oldest and most charismatic Portuguese festival. It has made history by discovering new musical promises and presenting the most renowned names in music worldwide. Always faithful to the alternative spirit that characterizes it happens next to the fluvial beach of Taboão. In the poster for this year you can see The National, New Order, Patti Smith and her Band, and many more!
8. Hellfest Open Air | France | 21-23 June 2019
The festival takes place every summer in the western French town of Clisson! It is one of Europe’s biggest and most respected rock, metal and punk festivals. Held in its current form since 2006, the festival is now hugely well established and the lineups unfailingly feature a wealth of the genre’s biggest and best; whether that’s rock veterans or the newest stars of the scene. The festival this year counts with bands like ZZ Top, Kiss, Sum 41, Within Temptation, Beartooth and so on.
9. EXIT Festival | Serbia | 4-8 July 2019
This festival is an award-winning summer music festival! Traditionally, it is held at the Petrovaradin Fortress in the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. It was proclaimed as the ‘Best Major European festival’ at the EU Festival Awards. The foundation of the festival was in 2000 in the University park as a student movement, fighting for democracy and freedom in Serbia and the Balkans.The headlining acts for EXIT 2019 will include The Cure, Carl Cox, The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, Greta Van Fleet, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Skepta and many more.
10. Defqon.1 Weekend Festival| Netherlands | 28-30 June 2019
This is an annual music festival held in the Netherlands, Chile and Australia. The festival was founded in 2003 by festival organizer Q-dance. Moreover, it plays mostly hardstyle and related genres such as hardcore techno, hard house and hard trance. At the Dutch event the audience has grown to 65,000 per day with tickets sometimes selling out in less than an hour! This year’s lineup counts with Bass Modulators, Brennan Heart, D-Block & S-te-Fan, Adrenalize & Devin Wild, Hosted by Villain and much more!
